5 Valentine's Day Cocktails

The romantic month of the year has arrived and even though most countries are in a locked down situation we are expecting that the people will definitely enjoy the Valentine’s Day just like the other years. So if you have a relationship or you want to impress a new possible romantic partner by organizing a special dinner we are here to help. First of all get rid of the typical wine options and focus on something more tasty, special and unique. In other words grab your dusty shaker and get ready!

1)Sweet Quilt :

20ml Strawberry Puree

20ml Passion Fruit Puree

10ml Coffee Liqueur (Moketo Espresso Liqueur)

3 Dashes Chocolate Bitters

Simply put all the ingredients inside your cocktail shaker and shake over ice. Double strain inside a rocks glass with ice and garnish with a biscuit.

It’s an amazing sweet drink with different flavors which you can distinguish at the same time. Just make sure to use a really good quality coffee liqueur like Moketo in order to achieve the right balance between sweetness, sourness and the coffee sense. You can always make fruit purees by chopping some some pieces of fruits and blend them with a little bit of sugar. Of course in case you want to buy them I suggest you the ODK company. Last but not least, coffee liqueur can be made easily by infusing some vodka with coffee beans and sugar for about 3-4 days while bitters is an infusion of dark chocolate with alcohol (preferably rum, vodka or tequila for chocolate bitters). Just be careful not to make everything too sweet.

2)God Eros:

40ml Kalevala Gin 20ml Raspberry Puree 10ml Creme De Cassis 20 Honey & Sour Syrup 5 Basil Leaves

The preparation you have to follow is the same with the first one!

Honey syrup is boiled water (2 parts) with one part of honey and the peel of two lemons while Creme De Cassis is an infusion of vodka, sugar & gooseberries. Since it’s kind of hard to find gooseberries, crème de cassis is sold in every liqueur store for a really affordable price.

For the raspberry puree please check the first cocktail.

3)Searching For Love:

40ml Blind Tiger Gin 15ml Creme De Cassis 10ml Ginger Syrup 60ml Apple Juice 1 Dash Sour Bitters

This one is actually a wonderful cocktail for the ginger lovers and really easy to make! The only you need to do is to shake all the ingredients together over ice and strain the mix inside a glass with ice.

Ginger syrup requires a really simple procedure, the only you have to do is to mix one part of fresh ginger juice with one part of simple syrup (boiled water with sugar 1:1) The preparation of crème de cassis is described in cocktail number 2.

4)Just For Sex

Soda / Proseco for top up

That’s literally the easiest option that everyone’s like and it can work perfectly for your dinner time. You simply have to add all the ingredients inside a champagne glass (be sure all the ingredients are cold) or a highball (add ice in case you use this one). For the last step, garnish creatively and impress your partner!

5)La Rose Qui Lévite: 60ml Fifty Pounds Gin 7.5ml Liqueur De Violette 15ml Rose Liqueur 15-22.5ml Lemon Juice (based on how sour your lemons are) Yellow Traveler Tincture For Aroma (optional)

For the last option we propose something outstanding. A wonderful pink colored cocktail with a floral & sour taste. With the same preparation we made the coffee liqueur in the first cocktail you can make the Violette & the Rose liqueur. You just have to replace coffee with the right ingredients. Yellow Traveler Tincture is an infusion of vodka, lemon & pink pepper. In order make it shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Afterwords double strain the mix inside a champagne glass with ice cubes rimmed with thyme, garnish with a lemon peel & pink pepper & express the tincture.

That were our five suggestions to celebrate this special day. We wish you to enjoy them with your other half and have an outstanding dinner.
